#62 Italy, Argegno | OOTD

Top | River Island
Mom Jeans | Topshop
Belt | River Island (came with a pair of shorts)
Shoes | ASOS
Clutch | Primark

Hello!

I have now returned from Italy and am back in the cold, gloomy thing that is England. I literally had the most amazing time away with my family, but more on that another time.  This is the final outfit I had photos of so thought I'd share it with y'all. I've lost track of what day is what as I didn't have photos of my outfit for every day, so let's just forget about all that haha. I am literally loving my mom jeans at the moment (as you've probably noticed!) They are so comfy and I love how they can be dressed up or down. I think I might do a post on how I style mom jeans soon but we'll see!

I am off to a small festival this weekend so next week look out for a couple more lifestyle posts next week, amongst many more!

Until next time,

#59 Italy, Argegno | OOTD Day 8

Hello guys and gals!

I'm half way through my time in Argegno and it's flying past way too quickly for my liking. You may have noticed that I've skipped from Day 4 to Day 8 with the OOTDs, it's simply because I didn't get any good pictures so I'm skipping ahead a bit - you're not missing out on anything too exciting though so don't worry!

Hat | River Island
Necklace | Stall in France
Kimono | M&S
Crop Top | River Island
Jeans | Topshop
Shoes | ASOS
Bag | Urban Outfitters

We've just popped back to the apartment for a bit so thought I'd share what I am wearing today but a post featuring what I wear this evening is due to follow tomorrow.

#61 Italy, Argegno | OOTD Day 9

Playsuit | Zara
Shoes | ASOS

I know these aren't the BEST quality photos but how gorgeous is this Zara playsuit? As soon as I saw it I literally couldn't take my mind off of it and had to buy it! I'm not usually one to wear colour but I love the blue shade of this piece and the pattern is lovely. It's a great statement summer item and it can easily be dressed up or down, depending on shoes and make up. Although I opted for bold eyes and a nude lip, I also love pairing this outfit with a bold red lip, the red really compliments the blue tone of the playsuit.

#60 Italy, Argegno | OOTN Day 8

Hat | River Island
Necklace | H&M
Blouse | Zara
Jeans | Topshop
Shoes | ASOS
Satchel | Urban Outfitters

Last night we caught a short ferry over to Bellagino for dinner and the food was ah-may-zing. As well as my outfit I wanted to share the make up look I'd gone for. I always find eyeshadow a bit hit and miss but really liked the final look last night. I used my Stila pallet on the eyes and kept the lips simple with 'Shy Girl' by MAC.

I hope you're all having a lovely week so far!

Here are a couple of outfits that I've worn over the past couple of days. Luckily the weather has been really good so far, although this coming week isn't looking too hopeful which is a shame. My straighteners also don't work here so it's killing me not being able to curl my short locks *cry cry*. On the plus side I managed to pick up a new foundation and am planning the review post already, so look out for that one!

#57 Lengthy Lashes

If you want longer, lump free lashes then listen up. I recently picked up No.7 Extreme Length Mascara (£12.50) from my local boots and boy does that wand create some serious lengthening magic!

Compared to my other mascaras this beauty really gives my lashes length, without clumps or that dreaded spider legged finish. The wand is nice and thin so it's easy to reach all lashes without getting black dots all over your eyelids. As this mascara creates some serious length I don't tend to use it on my bottom lashes, instead I've been opting for Clinique's High Impact Mascara (£17.50)

This dreamy combo works wonders to open up the eyes to give a beautiful finish to all eye shapes. In the summer months, these mascaras help make eyes pop even when eye make up is kept minimal.

What is your favourite mascara?

#55 Italy, Argegno | OOTD Arrival & Day 1

I arrived in Argegno yesterday evening and it is so pretty! The views are amazing but the weather is a little temperamental, although living in England that's something I'm used to. I'm going to do a big post all about my time here once I'm back, but whilst I'm here I thought I'd share some outfits/make up looks with you all. Being a stupid idiot I managed to leave my foundation at home *cry cry* I usually pack more than one but the one time I decide to pack just the one I forget completely. So I'm desperately hoping to find my way to a well stocked pharmacy soon! Anyway, onto the outfits!

I wasn't sure what the weather would be like when we arrived in Milan so I opted for my Topshop Joni jeans, a Topshop cami (in black), a Matalan jumper, my ASOS shoes, River Island hat and Urban Outfitters bag. I also had a large bag full of all the stuff that wouldn't fit in my suitcase!

It was quite chilly in the evening so I chose my Topshop Mom jeans, a River Island crop top and hat, H&M belt, ASOS shoes and Urban Outfitters bag. I also brought a warm cardi with me for when the cold got too much.

Today the sun was out and it was really warm, so I opted for this pretty H&M dress, New Look sandals, M&S kimono, Urban Outfitters sunglasses and the standard RI hat and UO bag (they are bound to make countless appearances!)

#54 A Little Life Catch Up

Good Afternoon!

I am currently on a plane to Milan as I write this (not to rub it in or anything ;)) as I am spending the next 2 weeks in Lake Como with my family. I was hoping to schedule some posts for whilst I am away but life snuck in and got in the way, so sadly I haven't had time to. I do have some planned though and will hopefully get them up whilst I'm away, so keep your eyes peeled! I am having to write/post them via my iPhone so I'm HOPING the formatting will be okay!

I'm sure I'll be taking lots of snaps whilst I'm away so make sure you follow my on Twitter (@becamorton) and Instagram (@becamorton)!

As I'm flying away for 2 weeks of chaos and adventure (we always get ourselves in... Interesting situations!) I thought I'd share what I've been up to over the last week - this is a lifestyle blog after all.

Pub Trip - living in the country there isn't always a lot to do, so a good old pub trip is a frequent activity. It's always nice to catch up with friends over a drink (gin and tonics are my current fave). My good friend Alice has just left for Vietnam and I am away for a couple of weeks now, so it was nice to see each other before we all flew away all over the place.

Bath - Going on holiday is always a good excuse to go shopping, so last week Doug, Mum and I went to bath to get some odd bits and bobs (details to follow). We went to Carluccios for lunch which was divine - I particularly recommend their venison tortellini! Other than good food and multiple purchases, we also came across a 'crazy pigeon man' who pigeons seemed to flock to... He was also putting pigeons on people... It was all very weird and not up my street at all, haha.

Santa Pod - My dad is an avid lover of vintage cars, owning a Riley 9 Special himself. So on Thursday we all went to Santa pod to watch him compete in a drag race whilst mum was marshalling on the start line. It was a small event but nice to spend some time all together.

Reunion - it's been almost 2 months since I waved goodbye to my Southampton home which I shared with my favourite people. So last weekend I invited everyone over for the weekend for a taste of the country and a BBQ. Sadly the weather wasn't great but we powered through which the BBQ anyway (thank god for garages). I also took everyone to a couple of local pubs, obviously. It was really nice to catch up with everyone, I'm missing them all already!

So that's basically what I've been up to recently!

#53 The Summer Dress | OOTD

Hat - H&M
Dress - Topshop Petite
Shoes - ASOS
Watch - Olivia Burton
Sunglasses - A stall at Bestival

I wasn't quite expecting it to be so warm today, I was anticipating rain, showers and darkness! Although I am pretty sure the weather is going to turn on us later, I thought I'd take advantage of the weather to wear this cute white dress that I picked up from Topshop the other day. At only £20 in the sale I couldn't resist! I've also recently picked up these beautiful shoes from ASOS (£35) and this lovely hat from H&M (£14.99). Teamed with some sunnies and my beloved Oliva Burton watch, I think this is such a pretty, summery outfit and I'll definitely be cracking it out next week whilst in Italy!

#52 Boots & Leather | OOTD

Hat - River Island
Leather Jacket - M&S
Blouse - Next
Jeans - Topshop
Chelsea Boots - Topshop

I've made it pretty clear that I'm a very black and white kinda girl when it comes to what I choose to cover my body with. So I wanted to share a few snaps that my dearest brother took for me before I went out to meet friends at the pub last night. This is definitely one of my go-to outfits. Although I don't wear this top/blouse a lot, I'm often reaching for a white top of any sort to pair with my black jeans, a pair of boots and my beloved leather jacket. I also wore a turquoise ring to brighten it up a bit... okay lets face it, it's not brightening anything up, but I like it okay? Haha.

Admittedly I'd actually changed into a different coat by the time I came to leave as it was bloody chilly outside - but more on that beauty another day!

#51 Sally Hansen, Hard as Nails | Review

When it come to having perfectly manicured nails I'm just not that girl. Mine are constantly breaking, or nail varnish is chipping and they are just an all round disaster really! Saying all that, I feel that good manicured nails really polish off an outfit well no matter what style you're going for.

A while ago I thought it was about time I put a stop to the disaster that was my nails, so I purchased Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails with the hope of perfect nails. It's a little more oily than a nail varnish, however you use it in the same way, also coating under the nail tips as well as the nail itself. It says that it can be used as either a base coat for nail varnish, or used alone. At first I wasn't too impressed as I didn't feel that I was noticing any changes in the condition of my nails. However, I persisted and now I genuinely do feel that it has made a real difference to my nail strength and helps my nail varnish last longer too. It's not a miracle product and I'm not sure whether I'd purchase it again or not, but it's not bad! It was quite inexpensive, so if you also have nail issues then it is definitely worth a try.

#50 Sixties Summer

A week or so ago I made my way to Urban Outfitters with the hope of finding some gems hidden away in their sale - and boy did I! I got this cute sixties style cut/patterned dress and this beautiful satchel for just £35. What a bargain! This is the third bag I've picked up in an UO sale, I can never quite believe how cheap they are - so keep a look out! I haven't stopped using this beauty since I purchased it! Then there is the dress; usually I'm a black on black on white on black kind of girl, so I felt that it was time I add a pop of colour into my life - it is summer after all! I was never too sure about cut out shoulders but they work really well at breaking up the pattern here, so they've grown on me! The dress is buttoned up the back which I love, however it is a little short so some shorts are definitely needed to hide those lady parts.

Obviously I've styled the items with summer in mind, however the dress looks just as lovely with tights and of course heels and sandals are also an option!
